My church is doing the Daniel Fast....can someone explain it to me?

I hope everyone is doing well!

I've slacked already on reading my bible.  
As soon as this sickness goes away i'll be getting back to it. I can't concentrate on anything!! This sickness has been lingering around for a month now and I can't get rid of it.  

What's the daniel fast?  

I'm doing good on reading my bible. I've read it everyday so far.   I hope to keep it up.

I second this! It's pretty simple, doesn't feel overwhelming, and it gets you through the Bible in a year!

Getting to church this morning was HARD. Glad we got there, but man....I'm just emotionally exhausted!

I'm glad you were able to make it.


Our church was packed this morning. It hasn't been like that in a long time. They had to continue to bring out more chairs. I hope they caught a head count or something. We also had baptisms so family members might have been there to watch but it was good to see. It would be nice if they all came back.

I loved at our old church when we'd have to pull up chairs! Our sunday school class often fills up like that, but the church we're in now just moved to a new building so the worship service tends to have plenty of room.

I can't remember who, but there used to be a Pastor (one of the famous ones, an author I think...) who used to have services so packed, he had to start asking saved & serving Christians to stay home on sundays so those who didn't know Christ would be able to come and listen to God's word. That amazed me!
