I agree. I'm so thankful they have a nursery/kids area. They help teach children about Jesus on their level while I get to learn about him on my level.

what is beginners church?

i'd drop my kids off there and go shopping or something. can you do that? how do they know you're actually attending mass?

Well, we're not catholic, so we don't go to mass. But Beginners church at our church is for 3-5 years old, and they have little Bible lessons, color pictures, do crafts/etc as we're going to Sunday school and the worship service. The nursery is more of a simple play time, for 0-3 years. We volunteer in both once a month, and love working with the kids.

I'm guessing you could just drop them off and leave, but that thought has never crossed my mind...I'd never even consider it. I'm not sure who would, what if something happened?

Our church does host a "date night"once a month, where they take care of the kids and parents can go enjoy themselves for a few hours.

Well, I would never do that because my church (which is pretty big) pages you if something is wrong with the child, if they are fussy, sick, etc. and if I didn't get the page...how horrible. They are there to watch children of parents who are attending church, not babysitters for parents to go out and run errands.

They won't accept anything. They used to do it quarterly, and then one of the guys who helps set it up wanted to make it more often. The college ministry sets the entire thing up, brings games/etc for the kids.They have a blast. It's great.

oh that sounds good. what kind of church is that called? im going to drop my kiddos off next weeeknd. sounds like something they would like, well, minus the religion crap

I'd call around to various churches to see if they even allow you to drop off and then leave before trying to do that. We do have special activities where that happens, but Sunday morning isn't one of them.

I go to a baptist church, but I don't consider myself to be any particular denomination. This is just the church that felt right for our family.

same here. Our church is "southern baptist" but I don't call myself that. I don't feel like that name is important.

I just got done watching the movie/documentary called One Nation Under God. Really good.

I don't go to a catholic church...we don't have mass. Our church has childrens church...which is their class. I have two teenagers which attend their youth service every week. And if I didn't go to church they'd be wondering what happened to me. I've been a member there for 9 years.

uh that sounds interesting. you make your teenagers go too? how old are you to have teens?
