storing baked sweet potatoes

im going to be giving my DS baked sweet potatoes for the 1st time tonight. i saw on wholesome baby foods site not to refrigerate them, and on another site to keep them in a cool dark place. i know i can freeze them but i dont have and ice cube tray atm. so how do you ladies store baked sweet potatoes?

Take a baking sheet, drop small spoonfuls, stick it in the freezer, in an hr, 2 max take it out and scrape/pop them off and stick them in a ziploc bag

i didnt even think of that. how long can they last in the freezer?

Not sure exactly. I'm sure you can google that though. Definetly a few months.
