PPD?

How do you know if you suffer from PPD? Are there certain signs? Anything that screams out to you, "Hey somethigns wrong here, you shouldn't feel this way!"?

Feeling really irritable, can't make your mind up, feeling overly emotional, feeling angry toward you baby. If you think you have it call your doctor, it's common and you should not feel bad about it

i cried for tree weeks straight before i went to the doctor....also didnt really bond with DS until the meds kicked in

dreading the responsibility of taking care of your baby. Like when they're crying you dont even have enough care nor energy to get up and feed them, change them ect.

See I have a bond with her, I don't get mad at her, but I feel so overwhelmed. I have been depressed since I had her.

I was depressed after I had my son, sometimes I wanted nothing to do with him. Unlike with my first child, his crying would make me mad and frustrated and I was overwhelmed with my feelings because I knew they weren't right.

Not wanting to hold my baby, like as soon as the feed was over Id hand him to my husband. I also just wanted to leave with my oldest and never come back.

Talk to your doc. See if you can get some meds. I wouldn't recommend zoloft personally. That' smurf made me crazy lol Mine went away on it's own after I tried zoloft and it didn't work out for me.

I was on lexapro. It worked wonderfully until my PPD turned into a mood disorder, then it didnt cut it anymore... But that's a whole different story you should have to worry about unless you've had a brain tumour/damage.

Thank you ladies, I will be discussing this with my OB at my 6 week appt. I just don't think I should be feeling like this and I feel guilty because I do.
