Exhumed body? Would it matter depending on how long the person was dead? Would it matter if it was family or not?

(Because my husband and I have nothing better to talk about when we are bored, this was our conversation...I think we are the only people in the world who have conversations like this LOL)

I've seen a dead body...someone I loved. It was hard enough seeing them lifeless (looked "normal" - like sleeping), but I couldn't look if decomposition had started. Too disturbing.

In my anatomy classes I saw the ones that were donated to science! It was pretty gross smelling, but I was also pregnant!

No, I've only seen 3 dead people before, all at the same place.Well they were alive and I watched them die. It was a shooting at a grocery store by a psycho ex(not mine, one of the victims) and I was there at the wrong time. It was horrifying. I've never been to a funeral and will not ever go to one unless it was someone dear to me. I find death extremely disturbing. I think a decomposing corpse would be far too much for me. Now mummies or bog bodies I could look at and would very much like too. They bother me but in a morbid fascination kind of way. I think incorruptible corpses would also be interesting to see.. at a short distance.. behind glass. LOL

Yep. It's part of the degree I have. I've seen people donated to science and I've seen a 10,000 year old pile of bones. One of these days, I REALLY want to go to the body farm in Tennessee to see the bodies in different states of decomposition.

It's pretty much a requirement for Anthropology and even more so if I want to get a Forensic Anthropology rider on my degree.

It's supposed to be awesome. It's in my will that when I die, I'm getting sent there. They have bodies in different states of decomp in different situations like wet/marshy, dry and buried, and under a wood porch with bugs/wildlife.
