ER & IUD

posted 23rd Sep
Will they take out an IUD? I can't stand the pain anymore. It's just horrible. It's almost nauseating and I can't get an appoint at my gyno for at least another two weeks. If anything could going to the ER maybe get my gyno to see me faster??

I would rather be abstinent than deal with this smurf.

I've never heard of them doing it, unless it perf'd your uterus or something and was actually an emergency

My niece is going through this. Hers is imbedded into her uterus and they had her all set up for surgery then she got sick and they would not put her under the anesthesia. Now she has a high fever and is terribly ill and the emergency room did not take it out for her either. She is in the process of setting up a new time for surgery. Good luck to you. Hope you feel better soon.

If you are in so much pain you can't move, then go to the ER, if not dont abuse the privilege. I had to go with severe pain for the first 15 weeks of my pregnancy but couldn't do anything about it, it was as bad as m/c pains. If you can still function I'd wait.

Does it vary with state whether or not urgent care is open on Sundays?

I think it just depends on the particular place.

It isn't a state thing. Every place has it's own hours

The ER will NOT remove them. They will give u pain meds and most likely tell u to fallow up with ur ob in 3 days.
