My friend lost her baby.

posted 23rd Sep
I just found out that my friend from high school lost her son
She posted a status on FB a couple days ago that said "My baby hasn't moved in over 24hrs is that normal ?"
and I told her no, go to the ER now (she was 37 weeks)
but she didn't go, she said she was embarrassed to go because she had already been like 10 times.

now I find out that she went to her OB appointment and her son had passed away.
my heart is aching for her   I cannot imagine how she feels right now and she must feel guilty for not going in.

I wish I would've pushed her harder to go in and be seen, maybe the doctors could have saved him.

Rest in peace sweet baby boy <3

Oh no. So sad.

There were days my son hardly moved and I never went in.

I feel like an idiot now, he is perfectly healthy but what if?

Rest easy sweet boy.

She keeps saying "what happened? every appointment he was so healthy, what did I do ?"
I feel like crying because I don't know what to say to her.

Do they know what happened?

Its so scary how that can just happen, with no fault of the mother.

No.
They don't know what went wrong.

I really can't imagine being in labor and knowing you'll never hear your baby cry when it's over

The doctors should be trying to find an answer. Especially since it could happen again to her in the future. I would be all over them to let me know at a minimum possibilities of what went wrong!! RIP baby

I'm so sorry..I'd be devastated.

It's easy to say what if....but if it was something bad enough to where he didn't make it in the uterus, I doubt the doctors could have stopped it.

I can't imagine. The babies I've lost were all first/second semester m/cs. I can't imagine getting attached to a baby and getting so close...this is the most heartbreaking thing I can imagine. I hope your friend finds peace with herself as soon as she can. <3

Shes in my thoughts. Sending nothing but love her way.

Its hard to catch things like that before its too late...I would tell her he was probably gone before she realized things were different. Keep telling her she did all she could for him and gave him a warm loving life in the time he had. That kind of guilt could haunt her forever. RIP sweet angel

The doctor said It could have been a number of things but his unbilical cord was intact and the placenta was healthy.
she had no problems with the pregnancy and when he was born at 37 weeks he weighed 8 lbs 10ozs, so he was healthy.
I don't know really, I hope she gets an answer.

Its hard to find an answer if the baby is still in the whom. She needs to deliver and they will figure out what happened after.

so sorry for her loss.
