How Long After Loss Did You TTC?

Mostly asking about first trimester losses. I'll be asking my midwife but want my body to be healed. Not sure if I can wait though  

(Not because I want to replace them, they'll never be replaced. I just like sex. heh.. and do still want a second child)

We waited two months. I believe we were told to wait at least 1 full cycle.

I had my m/c on July 9 and got my BFP on Sept 10. We weren't necessarily trying but weren't preventing. I think we only BD 5 or 6 times TOTAL after the m/c

I was told to wait at least 6 weeks for my follow-up with my OB/Gyn, then it would depend on how everything looked whether she gave me the go ahead. Kinda similar to after actually giving birth, I guess. There's a potential for infection until everything gets back to normal. Until you're given the go ahead, you can still have sex with condoms, at least that's what I was told 10 years ago. Things may have changed.

After the first and second miscarriages we tried right away. After the third we waited 6 months, partly because my doctor wanted to do tests and told us to wait and partly because I was pretty devastated and not sure whether I wanted to try again.

First trimester m/c only really risks infection if you're still bleeding. The cervix only barely opens when you pass. But sex with condoms would probably be a greater increase of infection due to the lubricants on them.

After my mc doctors wanted us to wait 2 to 3 cycles.however.... We found out shortly after approx 4/5 weeks after i was pregnant again. I had conceived twins... Fraternal... Lost one but carried ds to term

Yeah, with these they were right after another.. so I didn't want to try the month after

I got pregnant again on my 4th cycle after the miscarry. The Dr. told me to wait 2 cycles.

I think my midwife said when I'm emotionally ready, but I want to wait at least one. It's just going to be hard to. I like that connection with DH  

i know u asked about a loss in the first trimester, but i had a loss at 20 weeks, and waited for a period and started trying again got pregnant after only one cycle and now i am almost 32weeks pregnant with a healthy bub  alot of people said it was to soon, but i think it let me move on and accept my loss. does not replace the boy that i lost but gave me something to foucs on and look forward to. but i also worried alot for the first 20weeks!

I'm asking how long people waited before they TTC. Not necessarily for health reasons. I'm not going to know when other people tried.

We TTCd right after the m/c which was useless bc my levels were still too high for AF but I was in denial I guess in a bad spot emotionally. I realllly wanted another baby. But after AF we tried right away. The old dr said after one cycle we could go ahead and the new dr. agreed. There's no real right answer to "when" like you've said it's the emotional part that's the hardest to overcome. For me, focusing on doing what I could to help it along faster helped take my mind off the loss.

I feel the same way. Me and my husband are ready to have a baby, our first. I have an appointment with my OB/GYN this friday but I just want to know how long for others and what was the success.
