I've always liked the name Olivia (if we were having a boy it would have definitely been Oliver) but my husband mentioned the name Arya/Aria which I didn't like at first but it's kind of really growing on me. It's not as crazy popular as Olivia is but it's not a name that is out there.
Which do you like better?

I like both I would pick Aria though.

OP, I would choose Aria. I think it's beautiful and I've never really liked the name Olivia. Makes me think of olives  

I've been hearing/seeing Aria a lot lately actually. And Olivia is one of those names that's always popular. That being said I've always loved Olivia.

Ah - ria I would think is spelled Aria. And then Aireeuh is Arya.

Yeah I don't mind it being popular but I don't want it to be one of those things where she would have 4 other girls in her class with the same name.

I've always liked Olivia but I love Aria. I get that you don't want your daughter to have a popular name where there will be 3 or more in her class but it seems like that has become almost impossible to avoid. I thought I picked names for my younger 2 boys that weren't popular and the same weekend I had my 2nd son 2 other boys were born and named the same name as he was, and my youngests name has become popular too. I'm hoping that my daughters name (Eleanor) won't do the same.

You are absolutely right. That is a silly thing to worry about isn't it? I guess I would rather give her a name I like and she'll be able to pronounce and spell rather than butcher a name or make one up that goes against normal grammar/spelling rules.
