Birth and piercings

Just wondering if any of you took your piercings out during labour and delivery.  

If it makes any difference, I have my ears, two nipples, and my tongue pierced and I'm planning a homebirth (may or may not be in water).

i didnt take mine out, i had a hospital birth

I had my ears and nose piercings in.
I had a hospital birth.

I didnt have to take mine out, but when i almost had to have an emergency c section, they made me take them out.

They made me take out my one.... It closed  

I took out my belly ring and tounge, I couldn't get my clit ring out for my 1st delivery, so it stayed in lol

for my other pregnancies I took everything out

They made me take out my belly ring just in case events went south :/

But it's back in now! ;)

They made me take it out right before my emerg c sec, I was sad because it took me 3 days to remember to try to put it back in, and it was a def no-go. My tongue had closed. Got it done again though

They made me take out my hood. I was so angry after a while year of having it, it closed on me!

I.was so bummed. After a year Smh. Ooh well lol

I had to take mine out before I got the epi. Would have had to anyway since I ended with a section

I had a hospital birth... They made me take out my tongue piercing. I didn't have anything else... The anesthesiologist said that IF they had to do anything for an emergency like stick a tube down my throat, the piercing cannot be in.   Yeah, that is exactly what you tell a first time mom in the middle of a contraction.... Jerk...

I had a hospital birth, they didn't make me take out anything... I have my tongue ears and belly pierced...

We couldn't get mine out I always figured "ehhh I have time" I ended up getting induced early and it stayed in, it came out finally like 1 year later,

I took it out for my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy, it was out almost 3 years and I was able to get it back in recently,

My husband loves it, I'm sick of it I wish it did close up lol
