re: self inducing labour

Evening Primrose Oil is a capsule that you can take. They say that you are to start taking it at 37 weeks and work up to four capsules a day? (Not sure, can't think very well with this horrid URI/bronchitis that I developed) until 39 weeks. I so would not start taking it that early, baby needs to bake! But I also read that you can insert the capsule into your vagina right before bedtime to allow your body heat to melt the capsule. But it doesn't indue labor. It helps with dilation and effacement.

I did all of this a week after my due date and finally started to have contractions... Of course I was in "early labor" for 3 days with contractions 2 minutes apart before mt LO decided to make his appearence. But all in all this worked.

Had my membranes stripped, had sex a few times and went into labor within a day.

I'm being induced Monday morning, and doing nothing to try and induce labor on my own....it's my 2nd so I know if he want's to come before he will. The only reason I'm even being induced Monday is due to medical reasons. Just wait it out mama, babies seem to know when they are ready.

I may disagree with self inducing as well, but really there is no need for the all caps. There's ways you can state your opinion without being so harsh about it.

Do you have an exercise ball? Rolling on one of those is supposed to help, as well as all of the other suggestions. Hope you have an easy, quick labor!!
