It's your body... and you know if you can handle having two very close in age
I will say that it's harder than you think it's going to be. If I were you I would take vitamins (if you are not doing so already) for a couple months before trying because pregnancy depletes your body of them for about 18 months after you deliver. My boys are 2 years apart exactly and I felt totally overwhelmed at first, and that we should have probably waited until he was a little more independent.

My friend got pregnant when her son was 6 months old because she has PCOS and the doctor told her that her condition was worsening and if she didn't have another soon that she probably wouldn't be able to get pregnant again on her own.

If your baby is 8months and you are 1 month from popping out a second, to me YES way to close, but to each their own. Now if your baby is 8 months and you are trying or just got pregnant with a nother one, the first would be around 17 months, so that would be a parental choice.

We started trying when our first was only 6 weeks old. There is nothing wrong with having two close in age, twins are born everyday.

I was thinking the same thing! I have PCOS and it took almost 3years to get pregnant. I dont want to prevent and take 6years trying once we are ready, but at the same time not preventing and getting pregnant when my baby is 3months old kind of freaks me out! Im going to talk to my doctor about it because i really dont want those hormones in my body messing me up. Good luck to you!

My sister has the same thing. Took her 2.5 years to get pregnant, decided not to protect and got pregnant again when LO was 5 months. Now that her kids are 5 and 6, she wants another and has not been successful for over a year. During her time off she was on BC.

Same here!! I think we are going to try in 2014 around Feb. for number 2.
Our son will turn 1 in sept ('13) and i don't want them to have the same birthday if we started in December or January which is when we got pregnant with this little one. We did it without meds and it took a year and half, i'm worried it will take longer for number 2!
