breastfeeding and weight loss?

posted 21st Sep
so i have an 8 month old that i'm EB. i really reallyyyy want to lose weight ]= i was 140 pre-pregnancy, 145 within a week after birth and somehow gained 30 pounds since (i'm 175-180 now). this is probably due to my hormonal bc (i'm getting paraguard soon though! bc it's not hormonal). but i need to start losing the weight. i'm not sure how to work this though, because i'm the only one that takes care of the lo, his daddy works all day 6 days a week and when he's off he NEVER wants to watch him for me :/ that makes it hard to exercise. and as for calorie cutting, i'm scared to do that while breastfeeding because i don't want my milk production to go down. and it doesn't help that i can't eat nearly as healthy as i'd like. :/ we live with his parents (though we should be moving out within a month, god willing) and his step dad is a pot head who does nothing but eat all day. and we're not well off, we make just enough money to not qualify for food stamps but not enough to keep food stocked. also, whenever dh buys me food with HIS money, his step dad will eat it before i even get a chance to. i love salads and fruit (i;m a vegetarian) but dh will hardly ever buy the stuff for me becuase it has to be refridgerated and anything that's not hidden in our room, he will eat within a day :/ it smurfing sucks. i've been living off crackers and cookies (which i KNOW isn't healthy) and the occassional salad because of this. :/just wondering if any of you ladies had any helpful suggestions for my scenario. [= thanks!

Cut out all sodas, teas, coffee, juice etc. Drink only water as a beverage and walk a lot. Take LO in the stroller and walk every day.

i don't drink soda, just water and rarely juice. i would also like to walk more with him but he recently outgrew his stroller and dh is being lazy and not picking out and buying a new one with me. -.-

So go pick one out yourself if he's being lazy then tell him he should have gone with when he complains.
