Baby daddy (short vent)

posted 21st Sep
I'm rather frustrated. Last year I had sex with a friend and became pregnant with Casper. My friend and I have never been in a relationship or had feelings for each other. BD also has a child with a girl (one of my good friends) that he loves. They aren't in a relationship and haven't been since 2010.

^That is all back story. My problem is that BD doesn't care about Casper at all. Doesn't ask about him, doesn't talk about him, nothing. His daughter, on the other hand, he adores. Posts pictures of her of facebook, says he loves her, etc.

It just upsets me so much that my son's father doesn't give a damn about him but adores his half sister. I'm so afraid it will affect him negatively as he gets older. Ugh.

End vent.

I'm so sorry! This would hurt me as well, he should love them the same.. they are both his children. Does he even see his son?

He used to when his mom babysat Casper. But not everytime, only when he was home and bored. But he hasn't seen him since he was three months old. He is almost eight months old now.

Sorry your going through this. Honestly I would just not let him spend time with Casper...I know it sounds awful but if he doesn't want to be a steady part of his life it will be better in the long run. Some day Casper will be able to form his own opinion about his father and it will be BDs loss.

I''m going through something similar with my first child's father. He is significantly older than me... anyways! We had been together for 2 years, and I let him know I am pregnant, he was supportive at first and after she was born he moved faaaaar away. He has 2 other children that he talks to alllllll the time and that he seems to care about but not my kid! If the loser doesn't want to be a dad then I'm not going to chase him down. it's been rough but I like the fact that I don't have to share my child with anyone else <3 I hope your friend comes to his senses and comes around for the baby! Good luck
