I know that but she said they ruled that out anyway

Well, if you know, then don't say really generalized statements like 'it doesn't look like a hernia'. You could've said 'my daughter had one and it didn't look like that'.

Isabelle has an umbilical hernia- but it makes her belly button bulge out.

You said it's hard to the touch? That would worry me

Yeah, it would go down when I used to touch it when I first saw it but now its getting harder and I cant push on it.

I hope part of his intestine isn't stuck or something? Are they sending him for an abdominal U/S??

Yeah on Oct 4th. We're dealing with the Naval Hospital too, his doctor is a civilian that works there but we still have to deal with their red tape and stupid rules.

I'm not the only one that said it didn't look like one. And I was simply stating that my daughter has one. I didn't say that since out doesn't look like my DDs that it wasn't one. Anyways I hope u figure out what it is. Does it hurt him?

He saw his regular pedi today for his 4 month well baby. She doesnt think its a hemangioma but rather a hernia and the student LVN that was there agreed. But we'll know for sure by Monday because hes having his ultrasound tomorrow morning.

DD has both hemangiomas and an umbilical hernia. Sounds a bit more like a hernia. I just wanted to say that I didn't even think hemangiomas could start out anything but red or purple. DD was born with one and has 3 others develop and even the tiniest one which is a pinprick in size, is a tiny red pin prick.
Also, hemangiomas should not hurt unless they are ulcerated and exposed to the air.

Hope you get some answers soon!
