mine was painful all the way through. i could walk and talk and laugh until about 8cms. But when they hit me, I'd be crippled.
and the pushing was the most painful thing I ever experienced in life. I never felt the urge to push either.
It was sort of like a pushing down feeling, but Im not sure if that was it or not...
The Dr told me I was pushing a little right before she told me to push, but I didn't realize it.

I have an extremely high pain tolerance. I loved delivering my daughter. It was such a rush. I almost cant explain it.

My sister was totally against me having a natural labor. She doubted me the whole time. What was great was she came to see me along with one of our friends I was in transition but joking. I felt pushy so I told them to leave. And our friend went to say that there was no way I was close. Then she looked at the monitor and said "Oh my gosh. look at those contractions. Shes definately tougher than you!" (talking to my sis). It made me laugh!!!

lol I'm a wuss.
My first labor, the contractions went off the charts. and hurt more.
but my second wasn't that bad thank God.
I couldn't imagine talking and laughing with them going off the charts.
