If that's the story you're sticking with Then you don't know how old you are.
You're turning 17 in 2012
2011 you were turning 16
2010 you were turning 15
2009 you were turning 14.
So in 2009 on October 8th when your twins were born you were only 13 then turned 14 a few weeks later.

I was born in 1995 making me 17 October 31st
My twins were born 2009 making them 3 October 8th
