re: oh smu*f my water broke!!? :)

II had just gotten up to pee and laid back down. I thought i had fallen back asleep and was waking up again cuz I had to pee. I thought I was peeing myself and when I realized what I was doing I tried to stop it and it wouldn't stop! I jumped off the bed, as fast as I could for 40w pregnant, and day on the toilet just I time. It GUSHED. I thought it was never going to stop. I knew I had to get my mom up, she is not a morning person and it was almost 4am. So I grabbed a towel and put it between my legs and ran across the house to get her up lol!

With our first i stayed with my parents when my hubby went to work, hard pregnancy. My dad was taking hubby to work n me my mom n 7yr old brother were at home. I was coming out of the bathroom and felt like id peed myself, then a contraction hit. I told my brother to tell mom that my water broke, he went running thru the house yelling "mom, sissy spilled her water!"...i laughed so hard, mom came running n i never got ti the hospital so quickly...lol

Well it was my due date, the day before I had a dr Apointment with NO sign of oncoming labor sowe set up induction. after that we went to the mall to walk around and Arby's for dinner. I ate jalepeno poppers. then we went home and SO and I played video games all night. I laughed so hard that night out how funny I thought the game was (Raving Rabbids) at 3am we went to bed, 4 am I woke up in pain I knew it wasn't normal I waited it out a little just to make sure at 5 am I woke SO up and told him it was time. I just knew it was he asked if I was sure and I said pretty sure but I wanted to wait a little longerto see if they went away. at 6:30am He called the hospital to ask their opinions the nurse said "I doubt she's in labor if it's her due date today, that rarely happens" so we waited some more. I asked BG and most agreed with the nurse lol so we waited and at 8:00 i decided i was going in regardless. I was also leaking slowly this whole time but thought it was just discharge. got to the hospital and the same nurse we talked to on the phone checked me and I was at a 9! lol she said it was a first for her to deliver on a due date haha

OMG I felt so gross. It was dripping all over the floor. He was chasing it licking it then if I would stop his nose would go up my butt. His tail wagged the whole time. I think he knew what was going on but it was still gross and weird.

I started having period like cramps at like 8 pm on a thursday and my contractions started getting closer, at like 1 am i was on BG asking if they thought i should go in or not. So after everyone telling me yes i was in fact in labor since they were 3-5 mins apart lasting 30 seconds to a minute, i went in.

The lady said i was still at 4cm like i was on wednesday when i went in for a check (w/o contractions) so they were going to check for dehydration and a uti. I told the lady i was in fact in labor that i knew it wasn't either of those because i was 39w4d. I was in major pain by the time i got to the hospital and got my gown on and stuff but she had to check anyway. They finally admitted me from the triage room to a birthing room. But by 7 am my water had not broke yet, my contractions were 1-2 minutes apart and i was in A LOT of pain, banging my hand on the rails trying to focus on something else. So they broke my water and at like 730am i got my epi. then went from 4-10 by 11:15amand had him at 11:40am   Luckily the epi didn't slow things down and i didn't feel a thing! Not even pressure.

I was 38 weeks my doctor had stripped my membranes that morning. DH got home around midnight from work. We went for a walk and decided to have some sex. We were just FWB when I got pregnant so although we were living together to raise her we had separate bedrooms. We were in my room did our thing and like usual I squirted and soaked through all layers of protection for the bed. We stripped the bed put the sheets in the wash showered and went to lay down in his bed. Time was about 3:30 am. As we were cuddling I had this urge to have sex again. Like I just couldnt stop myself. So I went for it. When we were done I was still leaking (from squirting yet again) so I put a towel under me and he went to switch the laundry around. I rolled over felt a "pop" and felt a gush of warm fluid. I stood up and another gush all over the floor. I screamed out for him now holding the soaking wet towel between my legs trying to waddle to the bathroom. I sat down and gush. I was still not convinced this was my water as I had been to the hospital 3 times before thinking it was. I laid down and tried to get some sleep my contractions started to pick up and before I knew it they were 3 min apart. I reluctantly went to the hospital waiting until I knew my doctor was on call because I knew she wouldnt send me home this time. I was 5cm when we got to the hospital and 7cm an hour after that.

The first time, I had gotten my epidural and about 10 minutes later I felt like I was peeing myself. My nurse checked me and said part of my water had broke but not the whole thing. Then a few hours later, another nurse came in to check me since my nurse was busy and broke the rest of my water.


The second time my water did not break until I had been pushing for 2 hours(he was stuck in the posterior position too) and apparently it was all over the nurse lol.

The third time I had my membranes stripped at 39 weeks 5 days(the second time I had it done too) and it slowly started breaking around 2am the next morning. I didnt believe thats what it was since I had a nasty cold and thought I was just peeing myself lol. Finally went to the hospital at around 4:30ish that afternoon to get tested even though I was still convinced I was just peeing. Sure enough, it was my water so they admitted me.

omg you got all the way to a 9 before going in? werent you in excruciating pain by then??

you know it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. lol
I have a pretty highpain tolerance though. I was actually stuck at a 9 from the time they checked me till the time I delivered at 4:26. It only really hurt me when she was crowning. I wanted it natural so I was ok with that.

My water broke with all 3 which is rare I hear. First was at moms second was at moms same place too. Third was at school an hour from the hospital.

It was like 12:30am and everyone was asleep so I was trying to reach for a water bottle in the back of the closet. When I pulled it out, it fell and as I bent to pick it up I heard and felt a big POP! and a huge gush of water came out lol. I changes like 3 times and I still kept soaking all my clothes.

I gurantee that this will happen to me if my water breaks while in/standing away from bed.. I have 3 big dogs that sleep on their pillows right beside the bed.. Ughhhhh I can totally see my puppy that's a yr old totally doing this!!!!

Addison was almost born in her sack! I was already in labor and had been for about 3 days, my water exploded in the nurses' face. Teehee
