Breastfeeding help!!

I had LO a week ago and am trying so hard to only breastfeed but she eats from me then is still hungry and wants a bottle and when i pump i only get less then an ounce i feel kinda down because i feel like i am not producing enough for her any ides on what i could do to get more??

She's building your supply.
Nurse nurse nurse. How many wet diapers is she having? If she is having wet diapers, she's getting enough. Stop pumping & just nurse on demand. I never produced well with a pump.

She's growing. Let her nurse...if she's having enough wet diapers, she's fine and so is your milk

Keep your LO on the breast as much as possible. Drink lots of water, and if that doesn't help try some fenugreek.

Is baby having adequate wet & dirty diapers and gaining weight? If so chances are you are producing enough.

This. The first 4-6 weeks you can expect baby to be attached 24/7 it's normal. Pimping is no indication of what you produce. As long as she is peeing poopin and growing nothing to worry about

ok i just am so worried and hurt that i'm not producing she has several wet and soiled diapers a day it's easier for me to pump at night for the next day due to the fact i have a 1 1/2 year old so while SO is at work its hard to chase him and latch her

As long as she is pooping & peeing. She is getting enough. & I understand that, but some women don't produce very well with a pump!

When you miss feedings during the day, that'll hurt your supply...if you're not nursing her during the day, you should pump.

dont give her anything except breastmilk. if she takes the breast well dont give her a bottle it will cause nipple confusion .let her suck as much as she wants as long as your only giving her BM she will let your body know how much to make. My dd is 3 months and i only get an ounce when i pump but i can get 3 ounces from hand expressing.How much you can pump out isnt a good guied of how much your making. good luck momma.

Me too! I love the way it's written. And it made me feel so much better! I thought my supply was low or I was doing something wrong because DS wanted to be on the boob all day. Well, he still does at times! Haha.

I constantly worried about supply too. I just wish I would have trusted my body to do its job and not stressed so much. I would give anything to lay in bed a nurse a newborn all day and completely relax. My 17 month old just gets his boobie milk and is back on his way to doing 17 month old things.
