In Texas people under 25 now have to do drivers ed and some parents can't afford it. I think the job would have to come first so she can earn money for drivers ed.

Oh that's right!! Here you need to be 18 to drive.

Well, still, 16 year olds need help. If you don't babysit for example how will your kid work??

She is trying to force something on me, and that ain't happening, so I will defiantly be forcing something on her. I feel that is why teenage girls are TTC in the first place, they know their parents will just "get over it" and they will have their child. Not in my house. Maybe she would think about it when she is deciding whether to TTC at 16.

There are buses and you can get a license at 16 proving hardship(child) and yes there are jobs there.

I mean if it's a "I have a class then work and the babysitter is sick can you please watch it" then yes because she had a plan and it fell through. It happens. But if it's a "can you watch her so I can go party or just e my babysitter?" then hell no!

Once I could afford to support my child and their baby, I would do it and tell her that she needs to do good in school, A's and B's only. A job can come after she's done with school and won't have to work for pennies, wasting time.

then you shouldn't have any girls...

See, this is why I am all for gender abortions.... that way mom's like you can abort their daughters so they don't have to risk being "young grandmas" and not put their children into "the system".

How can you put your child in foster care because she did something you didn't like?? Smurf.

She is 16... you are an adult... 16 years are capable of plenty, but they do not think like adults, much less American Teenagers.

You would have to help by babysitting, or help your daughter get daycare assistance.
