Eh, hopefully we won't ever have to go down that road. I will be making sure my daughter, if I have one, is physically getting the shot so I can at least make sure we are doing the best we can to protect her from that.

I just don't think tell them they made a mistake and then just going on like nothing bad happened is enough consequence for their actions and me being stuck raising a child while my daughter continues to live out her teen years. ((shrug))

Smurf OP. I'm 18 and got pregnant on purpose, and I think you're stupid. I've been engaged to my SO for 3 years, and have been with him for 4 years. He has a good enough job to support me until after the baby comes, and luckily for me my grandparents are letting us stay here for 200$ a month until I get a job. Should I have a job now? Absolutely. The only reason I don't have one is because my SO told me he preferred if I didn't until after Silas was born, he's afraid I might do something at work to hurt myself or the baby. We can get into our own place, and make it on our own right now but money would be tight and my grandparents legitimately WANT to help us out and that's the only reason I'm here. As soon as Silas is born and I've recovered, I will be looking for a job, and we will be moving into our own place.

I'm not going to lie and sugar coat it either, just being pregnant is smurfing hard. Sometimes I do wonder if this was the best decision for us at this point in time, because yea it seems all peachy while your talking about it before hand, but when it comes right down too it you had BETTER make sure you're prepared before you ttc. I love Silas, and I love my SO, and it's not that I regret getting pregnant, it's just sometimes I wish we would have waited longer but we THOUGHT we were ready, and who knows we may be ready but I'll tell you what, right now I sure as hell don't feel ready. I felt more ready before I got pregnant, now I just feel like I want to die. I'm due in December, I'm 27 weeks, and we don't even have half of the stuff we need yet. It's seriously overwhelming, even when you are receiving help.


Becoming a mom just because you enjoy playing with your niece is stupid, and forcing your parents into helping you is even stupider. I could understand if it was an accident but when you plan your own pregnancy you need to be prepared to take care of your own problems, not rely on your parents. There's more to being a mom than just having a child, you have to be able to provide for your child, SPECIALLY if it was planned!!

I'm 16 & 27 weeks pregnant. I'm doing pretty well on my own, I have a job & every paycheck i spend a majority of my check on my baby girl, so she has everything she needs by the time she gets here. Get a job, don't make someone else be responsible for taking care of your child. & trust me, it will feel better knowing you got her everything she needs all by yourself. Good luck!

Planned pregnancy at 16 , not only is it stupid, but its a train wreck waiting to happen. And no, everything is not going to be okay. Your having a baby, not a doll to play dress up with.
