Am I the only mom without a car?

Recently my husband was hurt at work, had a cast and was out of work for a while... after that my car was totaled. We lose our BMW and got a insurance check for 1300. We bought a Suburban off of Craigslist. Unfortunately it died a few days later. No return policy obviously and we sold it for 650. That leaves my son and I at home everyday. My husband works six days a week and long nights in construction. We are stuck at home doing the same thing everyday. I am trying to see the bright side of things but am having a really hard time. Am I the only mom stuck within four walls everyday?! It's maddening.

I will barely afford one when my ex gets his taxes back because of CS and Im going to get most of it [hopefully]

No. As I type this I am craving bacon cheddar fries and pumpkin waffles but Dh has the car at work till 11p :-(

My laptop is cracked out. I fixed the original post... and am going insane.

I didn't have one from June 26 till July 21. I about went crazy!! Lol

Can you drive him?
Or do a trade-in on his car for two cheaper vehicles?
It took 6 weeks for my car to get shipped when I moved and mentally, it was VERY challenging to be w/o a car even though I could ride my bike or walk to many places.

Go for walks and find new places a few times a week where you guys can walk to.

SO and I "share" a car (it was suppose to be mine but he just took it over and claims it as his only   ) but I never get to drive it anyways. Maybe on the weekends but I was at one time feeling trapped in our apartment because SO always had the car. It sucked even though I don't can't use the car when I want I am in a slightly better situation.
