I didn't for over a year and a half... it was terrible... It's actually my car but since the hubby had a job I was the one stuck at home... Sometimes I drive him to work so I can have the car though. Maybe you can do the same?

I didn't have a car for 3 freaking years and just got our 2nd car now so I could take my son to preschool! Just do different stuff every day like color, art projects, dance parties, make a book nook out of a blanket and read for a bit, go for a walk, make some cookies...

I've never learned to drive.

I can't drive him to work b/c he works too far, it would be horrible on gas if i drove him to and from. Def/ cant afford that! We do walk to a park about 30 minutes away walking distance, but no other kids are ever there, it's very discluded. I begged my husband to try and find a ride so that we can go to story time at the library tomorrow and he is going to try. I'm going insane in here. We play every single toy he has and game online... it's been months and cabin fever is driving me insane. The days and nights are so long. My husband comes home and showers, eats, and basicly goes to bed. I need adult conversation and my son needs other kids to play with. We live in the college area so there are lots of adults, no kids..

you'll get really creative trust me! How old is he? We would do Blues Clues a lot too. I'd give them their notebooks and print out 3 pawprints from online and hide them. We also go on "treasure hunts" I make a map and they follow it to find a prize. We play hide and seek and collect rocks/flowers/leaves to make art projects. We rip up magazines to make collages, there's a ton of stuff to do, the older they get the easier it is

Those are great ideas ;) we don't have much grass around here but I can do a blues clues hunt! He is almost 5. If we could afford another sibling I'd have one .. just doesn't look like it's in the picture anytime soon and I get so drained doing kid stuff all day everday. We do art a lot.. but I will def. do the treasure hunt idea ;) thanks

lol why? I can't imagine... going places is about crucial when you have a youngin ;) or to feel normal at all!

I see you live in Raleigh. You don't have public transportation? You can't take him to work just once in a while so you can get out?

Get a bike and a bike trailer? We did that. Rode to some places.

Driving hubby to work would be horrid on gas, he works really far.. Doing four trips instead of two, yikes ... We don't have many places to walk, being the college area. we have a movie theatre across the street, but only once in a while is there a new kid movie out. The bus is around here yes! I'm a little worried/scared b/c I've seen the people on the bus. I also feeling like I'll end up somewhere and can't get home haha... I might look into the bus system and just bring a shiv ;p

I know before you mentioned public transportation... is that still out of the question? What if one guys you day tripped up to a water pad or something? Like he dropped you guys off and picked you up on the way home? Can he car pool?
Also, isn't there a lemon law that if you buy a car at has to work for AT LEAST 6 months or you can get your money back?
