Parakeet tail?

Well, I have two parakeets, and they were fighting today and my bird pulled off the other birds feather, like the long main feather for the tail. Will it grow back? Its so much shorter now, and he looks sad now. I know it mustive hurt alittle...So will it grow to normal?

It should. And it probably did hurt a lot.

It will take a month or two, but it will grow back just fine.

okay PHEW. My SO is underway, and he lovesss his bird, and kept telling me my bird is to bitchy to share the cage with the male.. He gets home tomorrow and notice his tails gone >.<

We can't have our male and female together, but we have sun concures, and our female is a bitch

yeah, the lady at petsmart told me it should be fine since they were purchased together. BUT shes a FANCY parakeet, hes a regular one, shes a tad bigger then him. shes the yellow.

We can't hold ours like that, we have to have one and then the other. Could should be getting ready to lay an egg and that's why she's being aggressive?

maybe? I just got them about a month ago, ours is pretty comfortable, sometimes they are just moody and dont want to be held, theyre still getting use to it. One of them knows how to play dead already(:

this is the closest they have been to together, and she was up top being an smurf trying to attack him. We have had him 3-4 years but have only had her about 2-3 months

and maybe because you got them at diff times? the lady made sure i got them the same time so there wouldnt be problems..

Probably, she was around a Macaw that was aggressive, so I'm guessing she's just scared. They are actually my dad's birds he is working on getting her used to our male.
