birth control

Hey ladies I just had a question about 2 types of birth control. I was thinking about getting mirena or the shot(not sure what it is called) So I was just wondering about everyones opinion about the two. Any input would be very helpful. Thanks..

I have heard terrible things about the shot. && i don't know about the other i am too scared to do that... I am getting something they implant in your arm that keeps you sterile for like 3 years =)

From everyone that I know that had the shot they're super un-happy with it because it made them gain weight like crazy.

I've been told by several people to get Mirena. So, I'm going to talk to my doctor about it when it's time.

My Dr. said that they shot can cause you to gain alot of weight and will make your period all out of wack. I heard that the mirena is good, but I don't know from experience because I'm on the pill.

The shot sucks, but I am too scared to get Mirena, and I cant afford the pill. I personally love the pill, but of the two you are considering I would choose Mirena. Mirene is expensive if your insurance doesnt cover it though.

DON'T get the shot(Depo-Provera)....I have no Idea about mirena...I have heard mixed reviews...but way better reviews than Depo.
