Obama = Bush

I’ve brought this up to several Obama supporters in the forum but nobody has ever given me an answer.

How can someone complain that Bush’s policies were terrible and in the same sentence praise Obama’s?

Obama said he’d close Guantanamo on his first day in office. It’s still open today.

Obama complained about how we’re shipping jobs overseas and how we need to bring good jobs back to America, yet he signed legislation similar to NAFTA with South Korea and also signed TPP (another program to continue outsourcing our jobs).

Obama criticized lobbyists under Bush. Then he accepted 4 times as much money from them than McCain did and then appointed dozens of lobbyists in his cabinet.

Obama criticized Bush’s overspending. Then Obama tripled the deficit and hasn’t had a budget the entire time he’s been president.

Obama said that Bush’s raising of the debt ceiling was a sign of failed leadership. Then Obama did the same.

Obama criticized Bush’s tax cuts. Then Obama extended them.

Obama criticized Bush’s wars. Then he extended them and started one of his own.

Obama was adamant about how terrible the Patriot Act, warentless wiretapping and suspending Habeus Corpus was when Bush did it. Then he continued with it.

Bush believed in civil unions for homosexuals and he’s a bigot. Obama says the same and his supporters are silent.

Can someone please explain why these policies are ok if Obama is behind them but they weren’t ok when Bush was behind them?

Right! And my gas is still 4$ a gallon yet no one says a damn thing.

I don't support Obama but really what do you expect? they'll say anything to get elected. They don't change smurf that's politicians for you they will tell you what you want to hear. Obama also said something about helping illegal immigrants and just a few months ago did it to get re elected because the organization that supports illegal immigrants were pissed.

The president can't control gas prices lol they don't ALLOW high prices.

I was a Bush supporter..I'm an independant, and I support Obama.
