Breathing issue...

posted 22nd May
Hello all!

I have a 2 week old baby girl and she has been having a horrible breathing issue. There is a lot of mucus up there I suppose. I asked the doc about it and she told me to get "little noses" and I did and have been using that and using the bulb sucker, but I think it is soo high in there that it just won't come out and it has not cleared up after about 5 days..

Did anyone else have this issue and if so what did you do

NO, we were going to get one. I just hate hearing her all clogged up at night..it seems to be ok during the day when she is up and all but at night its just horrible

dont worry.. my son was very mucus-y for the first two months.. then he just cleared up on his own.. he would snort and snore and all that at night.. humidifiers are great but pricey.. so its up to you

Sometimes.

The doctor said it will be normal for them to have different patterns of breathing for a bit. Like fast breathing then stops and starts again..its just weird, but I never know if she is struggling or not and I just can't get anything out!!

Ok, thanks! I will try to look for one.

I hope it clears up soon.

The description my pediatrician gave was that they can sound like Darth Vadar with a cold when they breath until they're 2 months old. My little girl does it sometimes, but there's nothing in there to suck out!
