The gov't is concerned with saving the tax payers money? Who would of thought!? lol They have a lot of work to do in other areas if they want people to be proactive, healthy and save tax payers $$ in the long run for gov't funded programs. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Link the law that actually says that. Ive always been told it was fine for different genders to share a room until the older one hits puberty

I've heard it's after age 5.
Idk all I can find are like yahoo answers or wiki answers and theyre all conflicting because they're all just average people being dumb and asnwering stupid smurf.
It differs from state to state though, that's all I've gathered. Here it's 5 yrs old.

Well, I think that since you said the kids are happy and healthy, the only issue I see is that they don't have proper sleeping arrangements. As for everyone saying the kids NEED more clothes and stuff, while it would be nice, they don't NEED them.

There was an article in a parenting magazine recently about a family that lives by the 100 item rule. Each family member only has 100 items. That includes toys, books, socks, shoes, clothes, plates, cups, etc. (It's actually quite popular, just google 100 possessions) The kids only have a few toys, 2 pairs of pants each, 2 pairs of pjs, a few fairs of socks, etc. They could literally fit thier lives into a pickup truck (besides the bigger furniture).

Kids today have to much smurf! Seriously, what happened to having A doll and few cars? If her kids are happy and healthy, and she gets them each a place to sleep, I don't see the issue.

No real law for siblings

  • There are no United States Laws that dictate an age that siblings of any sex can share a room. As long as there are no complaints, parents can make reasonable decisions as to who can share what room in their household.

Public Housing

  • Apartment complexes and public housing can have rules for tenants that dictate how many bedrooms are required based on the number of people in the family. This rule is generally two people per bedroom. The complex also may require that children be separated by sex.

Child Protection Agencies

  • Child protection agencies can make judgments about children sharing rooms, based on the situation. The rule of thumb, in most cases, is for children to be separated by sex before the oldest child reaches puberty. In some cases, they will require children over five be separated by sex.

Foster Children

  • Because foster children are wards of the state, there will be laws that dictate the children sharing a bedroom. These laws may vary by state. For example, in Ohio you can have four children in a bedroom as long as there is room for personal belongings, clothing and the room is safe and comfortable. Children over five may only share a room with same-sex children, and foster children over one may not share a room with an adult.

not sure how reliable this is, but one of the things I found.

this, imo if the child/ren doesn't have at least 1 different outfit for each day of the week (7 outfits total) but she can get a new t.v or other useless crap than imo she isn't fit to have them, yes the children may not be neglected or abused, but if they have to share a bed (theres nothing wrong with choosing to because sometimes my girls do, but if they have to) it seems as if she can't afford them or provide for them and if shes willing to have them go without rather than buying used well that just goes to show her head isn't in the right place.

It causes death because people roll over on babies so co-sleeping is supposedly a death sentence to kids

oh I know. Cylus's ENT recommended to sleep next to him every night with his OSA because there was more of a chance I would catch it if he quit breathing that way than having him sleep in a different bed.

Cause they cant....
Even here in Ontario/Canada. Its not allowed after the age of 1. And each child needs their own bed always and room if over the age of 5. And we are not allowed to co-sleep. here at all.
