I was in the system as i child. I will tell u that each child has to have their own bed. No sharing beds and girls and boys have to have separate rooms. I dont see why u helping and giving them things is got her in more trouble. Thats just crazy. But not taking them to the doctor they consider neglect.

She refuses to buy used because, as she put it, that's all she had growing up and hated it. I kept trying to explain to her that it's better to have good quality used items than nothing... but she just didn't care to listen.

Yes, really. I thought CPS was involved if a child was being truly neglected. Her kids are happy and healthy... they just don't have a lot of "stuff."
I don't know. It just seems like if I took all the crap out of my sons room and just left his bed and a small place for toys and clothes- we would be at risk for getting cps called? Even if I was taking fine care of him?

I co -sleep and had no idea it was illegal anywhere. Ahh. Need to check the laws here.

They have 2-3 sets of clothes, you don't see this as a problem? There is a diffrence between a child having too much stuff, like my son I just went through his clothes and toys and donated them because he just had way too much crap, and them not having anything.

My step dad was sexually abusive and my grandma was ordered to take us to the doctor once a month. Just saying how it was for us. We were taking away from my mother.
