I have to disagree. A cell phone is a luxury. There are far cheaper options, like home phones, and pay phones.

It's a wonderful convience but Is a luxury. So is having cable and Internet. I was poor and instead of paying 20$ for the Internet I went and used the library. When I was board? I played with my kids and red books. People get confused between luxuries and nessities.

Me too, I don't even miss tv anymore I'm so used to not having it. We do have Internet now through Verizon on our phones. But I could survive without.

well you dont have to have a landline, you could have a wireless if youd like.

you can also have an old cell phone, just for that use, that you dont pay for but is charged so that you can call 911, say if you crash in the middle of nowhere.

a cell phone is convenient, and landlines (not wireless) are smurfing awesome. it is extremely hard to hack a landline, and are safest to use when using a CC over the phone.
