Same services... just hospitals won't be reimbursed 100% for their services. And even so, I'd rather that happen. I can have.. eh, 80% of my hospital stay paid for with Medicaid, and then pay the last chunk? Okay. Totally better than footing the entire bill.

I don't get it either. My stepmother's brother and his wife lost everything when the economy tanked. They overextended themselves to 'keep up witht he Jones' and are now living in his parents tiny ass 2 bedroom apartment.
They still don't get it at all. Right after filing bankrupcy they go off on a vacation to Disney. All I can do is SMH and hope the light bulb goes off soon.
They called me wanting me to look for a resort for them to stay in JULY. Where I live, July is the most expensive time to vacation to my area. When I told my stepmom their plans she was livid & refused to even speak to them.
Thankfully, they didn't end up coming.

Hospitals will have to cut services if Medicare does not cover them. They aren't just going to absorb the costs.

They already DO this. The government already only pays about 60% of the COST to treat a patient. This is a HUGE part of the reason private insurance has gone up so much. Privately insured people are having to foot the bill for the part the government is stiffing them.

How can you complain about high prices of private insurance and then be for more government intervention where their involvement keeps the prices for private citizens rising?

No way. You can cut hundreds of billions of dollars from a program and everything will be exactly the same.  

Doesn't the bill also cut back some pre-diagnostics services such as pre screening for cancer?

I also heard somewhere that it also cut back military dependent services or upped the price for their insurance, is that true?

To those of you downing us that get gov't assistance, calling us moochers, you are a sad human being. Unfortunately we don't all live where there are jobs handed out left and right. I've been job searching for months now and there's not smurf, anywhere. I proudly have foodstamps. Im grateful that i live in gov't assisted living, where my rent is -100. I love having Medicaid. It's not about mooching, its about taking advantage of help that'soffered. Sadly closed minded individuals don't see it that way. Im a single mother and my kids have everything they need thanks to these so called useless benefits that ppl who don't qualify for hate on. Sucks not everyone has an easy going life eh? Judgmental naive twats.
