Quoting saageex3:" I actually just went on weight watchers but i don't really understand. I did the free assessment test and it gave me i think its called my BMI? Is that what my points are that i should be eating?"
No. BMI Is just whether you're overweight or not. If you're at their website, you need to pay to get the program information. However, if yu do a search online you can find basically all of it for free.
You'll have a certain number of points to eat every day based on your sex, weight, and height. Then you'll have some weekly (49 points) as well to use as you want during the week. Everything yuo eat has a point value. The value is based on fat, carb, fiber, and protein. Stay within your point value and you'll lose weight!
I love it because it's easy, and I never feel deprived. I never feel like I am missing out. Heck, even if I want cake or something, I just plan it in an use my weekly points. Also, you earn extra points with exercise, and most fruits and veggies are 0 points, so you can snack on them.
I suggest going to meetings if you can afford it and have the time, beacuse I find they keep me motivated and accountable.
