2 week update.

Toby is 2 weeks old today. He was discharged from the NICU on Saturday the 15th. It's been a real pleasure having him home where he belongs.

He's pretty darn mellow. He seems just content to be alive. I'm hoping this doesn't change lol. My daughter was so fussy and high maintenance, it would be nice to have a chillaxed infant.

We had a bit of trouble with feeding the first couple days, but it seems to have worked itself out. He ate 2 oz at this last feeding!

Adria simply adores him and wants to hold him all the time. She loves telling everyone she meets about her new baby brother Tobias.

She chastised me earlier for calling him Toby. "His name is Tobias, mama." lol

It's been a real challenge finding clothes that fit him. Even some of the newborn stuff I've bought is too long or too wide.

Overall, I just love being his mom. He is such a sweet little boy.

As for me, I'm not doing as well. I went to the ER yesterday for sudden heavy bleeding, intense cramps/pains, nausea and dizziness. Turns out I have a uterine infection and a blood clot in my uterus, attached to the incision. I'm on two antibiotics for the next 9 days. I'm down about 35 lbs already, which I'm happy about lol.

35.2 weeks.

I was admitted for high BP and proteins in my urine. After the 24 hour urine analysis and some blood work they decided I had to have him that night.
