Im on bed rest because im at risk for preterm labor. My case worker knows that and she also knows i dont have a car i catch the bus and walk every where and me walking is what got me put on bed rest . She wants me to meet with her everty month, and when i do i start getting contractions from walking so far. Im thinking about asking if we can start doing the meetings over the phone, because im putting myself at risk of having my baby to early. problem is im not sure how to go about doing this because my case worker speaks broken english and i can't really understand her. and when i do talk to her she ignores what i tell her and does whats she wants.

Get a new case worker. Or talk to her boss. If you were put on bed rest then thats were you need to be in bed!

Get her fax number and talk to your DR. have him/her fax her a copy of a Doctors order for you NOT to walk and that he/she recommends any appts that you can do over the phone be over the phone.
Then make sure after the fax is sent that you call the office she's at and confirm it was received. Also let someone know that you think it would be best to get a different case worker because face to face you had difficulties understanding her and over the phone is even worse.

I would just call and ask to speak to someone in a higher position and let them know your problem. I'm sure they'll be happy to help.

If that is the case, go to her supervisor and ask what you can do. Why does she need to see you every month? Does she need paperwork? Why cant you mail it to her or fax it even? I think I heard at one point here in California if it comes down to it they will go to your house, I do not know if this is true though.

For example on my welness plan im suppossed to sign up for life being classes ( because she thinks im shy im not shy i just dont like talking to her lol ) and if i dont go, i get penalized. If you dont complete every thing on the list or show up to your meetings they garnish your beinifts 70 % the 1st time then the 2nd time u dont complete it they take your benifits away for a month then if u mess up a 3rd time they take your benifits away for 6 months to a year.

have your dr. write you a dr's note sayen your not to walk anywhere its illegal for them not to listen to your dr's note plus get a nw caseworker!!

Its her own damn fault... you should tell her that you need someone to either come to your house and have the meeting there, or someone to come to your house, pick you up and take you to the office and when the meeting is over, you need someone to take you back home.
I would refuse to go unless someone was driving me and the furthest distance I had to walk was from my front door down the drive way.
Get your doctor to call them, fax them a copy of your restrictions and GIVE you a copy as well. If they still decide that you MUST meet them, make sure that they are aware that they MUST have someone pick you up and take you to and from.

DEMAND to speak to a supervisor ask the recetionest and get them to put you on the supervisors line , explain your DR put ypu on it GL i wish you all the best
