re: Disciplining an autistic child

I can tell you from experience doing this with a non autistic child whos the same age....its pointless. They have no concept of why they got spanked or what it means.

I find putting him back in bed, keeping everything out of his room, and closing the door is the only thing I can do. If he gets out again, right back in, does it again, I ignore it cause I know hes only doing it to test me, and he goes back in himself.
