Baby shower after baby is born...

Ideas on this..? Deciding to wait a month after baby's arrival to have a baby shower.

If you're comfortable with everyone holding him and all, a Meet The Baby Party would be a great idea. I've been to a couple, it's fun to actually have the baby there.

My LO was almost 2 months when I had my shower. Mainly because it was summer and a lot of out of town family I almost never get to see, made a trip into the city to meet the baby that they may not get to meet for a few years. It was nice.

i had my baby shower after my son was born, he was premature so it wasn't expected.. he was also still in the hospital when the shower was happening

I only do welcome celebrations. I hate baby showers before baby is born...
It's also great cause then you don't have 10000 people showing up to meet the baby the first week you're home. Other than immediate family & close friends; you can tell everyone else they'll get to meet babe at the party
I've never had one complaint!

I think it's a great idea to have a welcome baby celebration for subsequent children.

I had a Meet the Baby party when Lo was 3 months old. It was sort of like a shower but he just basically got clothes and diapers. We did it because my family is in Michigan and we're in Colorado. I would have had a regular shower, otherwise, before he was born. It was a lot of fun though and it was nice that my family and friends got to meet him while he was still pretty little.

My SO's family is gonna have a Meet the Baby party for us because everyone is out of town the next few weeks and I'll be giving birth really soon, I never thought of it but I'm excited for it! But I am sketchy on everyone holding the baby :/ , guess I better bring a billion bottles of hand sanitizer! Lol

Don't be THAT parent lol...people should be smart enough to wash their hands before holding baby. Germs are ok tho-don't be paranoid. You'll end up with a kid that is sick with a cold every other week if your hand sanitize constantly!

I hope so! I just don't know what I would do if my baby got really really sick and it was because someone that held him had some nasty smurf on their hands. I've been disinfecting and bleaching every little thing in my apartment! Lol the walls, the door knobs, even the light switches! Everything I can think of that we touch a lot. Nesting is crazy
