No? You don't need to just jump to the next guy. If you want to date him then date him, but he doesn't need to be your child's father right off the bat. Go slow and make sure he's what you actually want.

Yo haven't dated him yet? You may be god as frendsbut that doesn't mean you will be good as anything else. Date him first. Then see where that goes. Maybe he will be a good dad to your kid. But maybe he won't. And it will be much easier on the both of you, three of you actually, if you find out he's not before adopting the baby.

If you wanna be with someone then be with them but I would think long and hard and be married before allowing anyone to adopt my child.

Wtf? He can't adopt her anyway. He's too young and that's a huge decision to make. I think you should just date him, but don't go looking for a daddy for your child especially someone who is so young.

You don't have to be in a relationship with anyone. And don't rush to make this guy a father when he isn't

If things work out and you get married some day then consider him adopting your child a few years after being married.
