Breast feeding moms... I need help!

I am breast feeding and pumping and my supply is low. Who do I contact about this? His pedi or my ob? I really want to avoid formula if I can.

Nurse more and pump less.

Call your hospitals lactation department.

I pumped for 6 months exclusive, u either have to pump more or put baby on, u can use fenegreek, that helped when my baby turned about 7 months.

they do have medication to help your supply call your nurse or doc

Try feeding baby on breast only. The more you do that, and the less you pump your supply should increase.

ETA: or try feeding baby on breast only, and pump in between babys feedings.

Do you pump and feed through a bottle? If so, stop and breastfeed exclusively, pumping once or twice inbetween to get your supply up. Store the milk though, don't feed it to baby. You want them to BF as much as possible. A lot of women get less when they pump so your body may think it doesn't need to make as much. Also try taking Fenugreek or Mothers Milk tea.

I would call the pedi office and ask if they have any lactation consultants there. My sons pedis office has 2.

He doesn't latch properly so the nurse at the hospital told me to pump if he still wants my breast milk. They weren't helpful in trying to help him latch either. He's 3 weeks already and I wasn't sure if there are meds they can help with my milk supply. :/

Contact WIC, his pedi, or the local hospital and try to find a lactation consultant. They will help you latch properly, or you could try nipple shields. You should just try to nurse every chance possible though, and try to correct his latch. Just keep trying!!
