Bonfires and newborns

May be a silly question but with fall time right around the corner I was wondering if it was okay to have my newborn at a bonfire?
I would obviously dress her warm and stay out of the smoke, but is it okay? Do people do this? lol

I would if you're nowhere near the smoke.

I would be afraid of the baby getting bit up by bugs.

I wouldn't, but im paranoid.

my daughter was born april 10th and we had her out at the fire on mothers day... So she wasnt even a month old. its not going to hurt the baby. Just keep an eye that they arent in smoke, if your not in smoke then they shouldnt be. And keep her bundled up!

I've taken my newborn to bbqs with fire pits. As long as ur away from the smoke you'll be fine

Way ahead of ya. I have organic baby bug repellent.

Normally I would, but with West Nile being at its worst this year, I would be careful.

Then again, being as far up north as you are...it will be too cold for mosquitos.

We will both be coated in bug spray. I usually become a magnet for mosquitoes, nooo fun!
