Breastfeeding question

Hi I was wondering about how long after drinking would it be safe to pump milk for my son? Most medical websites say about 2 hours but he is premature, was born at 32 weeks and is now 33 and a half. I didn't drink all that much, just a couple sips from my boyfriend's drink... not even a third of a drink but I'm terrified of giving him tainted milk and the "pump and dump" trick is said not to work. Does anyone know?

I was told if you feel okay to drive you're okay to feed.

I don't think it will hurt him at all. But if you are concerned pump and dump one feeding, and drink alot of water! I think you should be fine in 2 hour.

a couple sips should be metabolized already. just drink lots of water and you should be fine

If you only had a couple sips you are totally fine. If you are sober you can breastfeed.

a normal person can even drink a whole beer and breastfeed. b4 it gets in your milk it has to be processed by your liver and raise your alchol blood level. the percent in your blood is the percent in your milk. or something like that. so .08 which is legal limit would be 8% of bm?

walmart has testing strips, i think u get 5 of them for 20 bucks.

The amount of alcohol in your blood is the same that is in your milk, and it won't stay in your milk either. Safe to drive, safe to breastfeed.

A couple of sips? You're fine. If you are sober enough to drive then you can bf. You don't need to pump and dump.
