Angry...

My son has autism. He was also born 10.5 lbs and has always been huge, he's 3 but the size of a 5 year old.
He has gone to the nursery at church every Sunday of his life and has never had an issue. He has never been in trouble.
This morning I drop him off in the nursery. It's for 2-3 year olds and he's 3. I've never seen this particular nursery lady, yet she informs me that "some parents" have been complaining about him being in there because he's too big. She wants me to put him in the preschool class which is way too structured for him. I tell her no, he wouldn't do good in there and he's within the age limit.
I already started feeling apprehensive about the lady.
When I went to pick him up she said he had to be removed for "attacking" another child and "attacking" her.
Bull. Smurf.
He has never in his life just "attacked someone". He is a 3 year old boy and acts like it, yes. But he is not vicious. The way she talked about him broke my heart. I don't know what happened but I do know that she is LYING. There is no way that he behaves fine for every other teacher at every other church and then just violently attacked her.
Someone took him to another room where he colored and stuff but he wants to play with other kids. The lady who took him to the other room said that the lady didn't know how to handle him.
Who knows how she treated him while he was in there with her.
I talked to the pastors wife, who happens to be a good friend of my moms. She gave me a lot of excuses for the lady but agreed it was handled wrong. She assured me it would not happen again and agreed that Corbin is not the kind of kid to attack someone.
So now I don't even want to go to church anymore. I shouldn't have to worry about if someone is treating my kid different.
Sucks that my kid has to deal with this for the rest of his childhood.


Oh and to top it off, this lady is going to school to be a special ed teacher. Yeah. Good luck with that.

That really sucks. I'm sorry she handled it the way she did.

Dude when I was talking to the pastors wife, she told me about when the Sunday school teacher singled her oldest son out as a trouble maker and she went off on her..made me feel so much better that even the pastors wife lost it as a mama bear some day.

I know right? I'm a little embarrassed because I was so upset but I'm pregnant and we're talking about my baby!
The lady who took him out was really sweet, she used to run the special needs class in the church and she loved working with Corbin. In the future she's going to be kind of an aide for him.
