Nursing tops?

posted 15th Sep
Do nursing tops really make life easier if you plan on breast feeding? If so, any recommended places to pick up some that are decent looking and decent priced?

Thanks in advance

They are a life saver. Target has some really nice and inexpensive nursing tanks.

I always wore nursing tanks with low-cut of V-neck shirts over them.. much nicer looking & more supportive than nursing bras!

Most nursing tops are ugly IMO.
I normally just wore a nursing tank under a regular shirt instead so it covered my belly when I pulled up the normal shirt.
Another option is shirts that button to at least mid-torso, wrap tops or tops made out of stretchy material since they can all be opened or pushed aside at the neckline.

Pull Your SHIRT down and feed that baby..
One of the things BD thinks is stupid to waste money on.. Most times I don't agree with hm but with Nursing tops I'm totally on his side 1000 percent  )
You have a baby on the way get some nursing pads so you don't leak thru your bra or tops and you'll be fine.. Save up.. & get all the important essentials !!

Depends on the type of shirts you wear!! Some of mine wouldn't pull down far enough & I was afraid I would rip them.. So I wore a lot of V-necks, low cut while breastfeeding..

Sometimes it was too cold to pull up, lol!! And after awhile, DS got to big to fit under a shirt   Plus I hate people looking at my stomach. It's small, but hairy, lol!

LMAO.. I bet your Belly is HOT!!!
But OP will more than likely be at home in the beginning just like MOST of us mommys are.. and everyone is different i guess. when it was cold i simply threw a hoodie on me.. & whenever LO got hungry it was unzip : pull up or down : hold LO Close and i'd use the sides of my hoodie to cover myself when people were around.   .. & my LO is pretty damn big for a 3 month old. those damn nursing tops are just not that important to get IMO. Feed that baby OP you don't need them damn tops lol

Hahaha, thanks!! I guess I own more over the head hoodies than zip-ups, but that's a good idea, lol!!
Oh, I also found nursing tanks more comfortable than a reg. bra, though.. More room to grow.. and with a reg. bra, sometimes it would hurt to try to stuff it under my boob if it was too full!!

I've already started wearing my nursing tanks since they're so comfortable, I got most of my nursing stuff from Old Navy, Target and some from Motherhood. There's a great sale right now on Maternity/ Nursing items at Old Navy (until the 26th). I don't think you need a crazy amount of nursing tops, but the tanks seem like they'll be helpful, plus mine are all camis so when I'm first home I can just wear those and they will hold in my nursing pads in place as well so it's just one stop shopping for my little guy.
