Hospital Bag question

posted 14th Sep
It's been over 4 years since I had my son so I can't remember but does the hospital provide those large maxi pads or is that something I need to pack? Also, anyone have any recommendations on type/style of underwear to bring? Did anyone buy larger than normal underwear to accomodate pads or c-section sites?

I got a few of those pads for home in fact now the pads have an ice pack in them and feel so good! I don't think you need special or big underwear. My underwear fit below the belly so I never had to buy maternity underwear.

Yes they do and I didn't bother with them at all. I bought female depends instead and those thin overnight pads to line them with. They were super comfy   and when i was done I could just toss the entire thing out instead of dealing with panties...

They provided me with like atleast 3 months worth of those diaper maxi pads, I actually still have some from when I had my son in June 2008 along with those mesh panties they have. I wont bother bringing either since normal pads wont do the trick and I dont feel like ruining real underwear.

They had the ice packs when I had my son, I agree, they were amazing!

The hospital I delivered at always provided me with huge pads and mesh disposable underwear. They both rock and I took extra home with me. They are not sexy in any way but I love them for after delivery.

They provided them. But when I went home I just wore my regular underwear and used kotex maxi overnights for the first week and then just the regular maxis the next week. I had super light bleeding tho.

I brought big old maxi pads and granny undies to the hospital but the pads and the stretchy type panties they had after delivery were AMAZING, I asked to take some home and used those for the first few days lol
