Pregnancy is "resolved"..hcg still present?

I had my last ultrasound for this pregnancy today. The OB said my uterus is very thin and that my pregnancy is "resolved."

Seeing she said it was resolved, I decided to take a test just to make sure I had no more hcg so I could go back to using OPKs. The OB I saw today told me we did not have to wait and maybe she would see us next month.

Anyway,I took the test and it came back positive. How long does it take the hcg to get out of your system?? I have very little stringy brown discharge but no more red, etc.

It depends on how far along you were, how high your levels got, etc etc. It could be a few days or a few weeks.

Well according to my lmp I would have been 7 weeks, 2 days. According to their measurments, I would have been 6 weeks 2 days, which I believe is impossible bc I know when I ovulated.

Not sure what the level of my hcg was but I had blood work done a week before I miscarried and she said my hcg was high and she was happy about it but then when I got repeat bloodwork that Thursday it hadnt gone up like she hoped. Then the next day we had an ultrasound and saw the heartbeat and a couple days later I miscarried.

3 weeks to go from 5-0?! Thats crazy. Monday will be 2 weeks that we miscarried. Hoping it goes down quickly. I saw a new OB in the office I normally go to and she said my ultrasound showed everything was resolved, I just assumed that if there was nothing in there left, the hcg would be gone too.

So sorry.  

The doctor should monitor your levels to make sure they return to 0.

They told me they didn't need to see me anymore unless I got a fever bc the ultrasound tech did tell them there was some fluid moving towards my csection scar but ob said that would look like that even during a menstrual cycle.

been ok. real busy with the wedding stuff. 50 days !!! getting excited and anxious!

Still trying too.... we was going to wait, but I cant stop thinking about it. lol
I think ill O within the next couple of days. the lines look like theyre getting darker.

A - It took me about 3-4 weeks for my HCG to go back to 0. I was 8 weeks along at the time.

I got pregnant 23 days after a d&c, so it can happen quick   good luck!

depending on your levels it can take what seems like forever for the levels to go down. I was getting positive HPT's for a month after my d&c in July. Everything stopped developing/last HB was seen back in June. I finally got AF at the end of Aug. I had high levels in the beginning as well but it was a "blighted ovum" so the levels kept going up even after development stopped until they decided to start dropping. Sorry for your loss! baby dust to you!!!
