My story is based off of real life events so I think I've pretty much got it and am ready. I'll add things here and there to lengthen it but that's really it.

Happy November, ladies! Have you started writing just yet? I feel stupid because I can't figure out how to update my novel on the actual NaNoWriMo site. Help?

Like the "about" for it? It's under "My Nanowrimo" and then "edit novel info"

Or do you mean to add actual word count?

lol! Oh good. Do you just enter the word count? When I did it a few years ago you copy and pasted the whole novel in and it did a word count.

You can update your word count as you go and then you have to copy and paste your novel in when you're finished with it to validate it. THAT, I'm not too sure how to do yet as I just started writing.

Okay, so you need roughly 1667 words a day to make goal. I'm half way to goal for today, but I'm going to try and set 2k as my daily goal, to give me a buffer because I'm sure there are days I won't get it done.

Same here. I'm just over 800 right now and I really want to get at least 2k-2.5k a day. I know for a fact there will be days I won't be able to write so doing it that way will be better in the long run.

I set up my desk too. We moved so I dind't have my desk are set up. I feel all ready now. Sadly I didn't plot like I needed to, so I'm going to knock out my word count today then try to plot the rest of the day. It just isn't coming as easily as I'd like it to.

Same. Though I'm writing from personal experience, I'm changing a lot so I don't get in trouble for anything. I didn't do any plotting so it's biting me in the ass now.

I tried to plot. I have a "basic" idea of the story, like a blurb, but no specifics. I'm hoping that after writing todays word count I'll get a good "feel" for it and be able to sort out the rest tonight.

Hey girls  

I have not at all sat down to work on my stuff for today   I've actually been really bad and taken for granted that I've already started writing and I'm using this month to add 50k words to the 20k that I have lol... but I'm definitely going to start tonight when DH goes to work! As incentive, I won't let myself watch Vampire Diaries until I've hit my word count goal lol.

BTW, can we all introduce ourselves with names? Bc I don't know most of your real names or what you go by. I don't mind at all answering to Chuck lol, but my name is Mandi
