Lol I didn't start from scratch, I cheated   But to be fair, I'm not including my pre-nano word count in my daily count

oh ok. I am using the outline for a story I wanted to do last NaNo, but I never got around to doing it.

I got super mad at myself yesterday bc I was driving and just starting having random thoughts, as I do most of the time, and then I had one thought about something and was like, "That would be a good book!" Then I started mentally planning out how it would go and I was like "NOOOO!!!" I have to finish what I'm working on now lol

This is my second attempt at writing a novel. The first one I started 3 different times but never finished. I'm in way, WAY deeper on this one than I was the first one.

well I have achieved nothing today...

I don't think that's necessarily cheating. My issue with doing revisions on the other novel was the fact that the story was already set, and it's a lot faster for me to rewrite a scene than it is to write it the first time. But I think if you're writing fresh material, it's all pretty much the same.

My other novel is about a happily married couple dealing with an unexpected pregnancy. The wife, Abby, is shocked at first, but manages to attach to the idea, but the husband, Jake, can't seem to warm up to the idea at all. Every time Abby even mentions the baby, he just kind of shuts down, and as the pregnancy continues, he starts drinking more and coming home less.

So I always get good ideas for my novel when I'm just about to fall asleep. Usually I get up and write them down, but last night I was too exhausted. Now I can remember thinking of something and telling myself to let it go because I was so sleepy... but I can't for the life of me remember what it was!

Does that happen to anyone else?

I'm at 9695 right now.. I need to do 2016 a day to finish on time... I'm really hoping to get out of the "now" soon, because the majority of the story is in the future...

I felt like I just wrote quite a lot, and then I checked my word count and it was only 1200 words lol

I'm 4,677 words behind point right now. I'm gonna really push myself to get as caught up today as I can.

I did get my sister's editing finished though  

It does suck to look at the goal for the day and realize how behind you are, doesn't it? lol

im lost on the site. earlier I found where it broke down the days and told what you should have each day and there was a chart. now I cant find it...??

Lol yeah I got confused the first time I tried to get to it without updating my word count too  

I'm just over 9k words. I had to work all weekend but still managed to write at least something when I got off. I hit my word goal for the day just before midnight and I'm going to write as much as possible right now while the laundry is washing and LB is asleep. This is going to take forever!

Good job! I'm about to go to bed, I'm wiped! I edited 50 pages for my sister today lol, plus wrote about 3k words

Of course going to bed I'm still 3500 words short for today's goal, so when I wake up tomorrow I will be over 5000 short. Tomorrow it 20k day!
