How do you get your LO excited for a baby after a loss?? Now keep in mind, bubba has autism. I just don't know what to do though. It took us so long to get him excited about his sister, and then it was like literally the next day smurf just went down hill and we lost her. Now, he wants to hear nothing about the new baby at all   you bring it up to him and all he says is " I want sissy not this one ". It's so hard getting him to understand things, especially when it comes to death. There for about the first 3 months he used to tell me I was a bad mommy for leaving sissy at the doctors ( hospital ). I just wish there was some way to get him excited about his brother   anyone have any ideas?

I don't think I'd push it on him right now.

I wish I had some good, solid advice for you. It may not be until you deliver that he gets excited - when he's able to see that his brother gets to come home with you guys.

My daughter still struggles with the fact that this baby will get to come home with us.
I hope things get easier for you, mama. You could try taking him out shopping and letting him pick out something to wrap up and give to his little brother when he's born.
