Name game

Me and my hubby can't decide on a little girl name we both love I think it's a boy, but everyone else says girl. How did you guys pick a name you both agreed on? Help lol

We've agree'd on boy names immediately with this pregnancy and my DD. When we found out DD was a girl, I had Charlee picked out from the get. He didnt like it so I tossed out some bad names to get him to like it lol. took about 3 weeks. With this pregnancy, we were both @ a loss. Took us about a month after finding out it was a girl to decide. We've decided on Ava Laine. Maybe you both pick your two fav's and go from there..

I just gave SO a bunch of names on a piece of paper and he put check marks next to the ones he liked. In the end we named her after my late grandmother and he didn't argue at all, he likes her name.   Luckily we both agree on a boy name too if we have a little boy in the future. He's pretty open to my suggestions, just doesn't like my 'weird' ones  

Dakota Keaton

Dakota (We both loved the name)
Keaton (Named after his best friend and I fell in love with it)

Aaliyah Denise Rayne

Aaliyah (After the singer Aaliyah because we both loved her music)
Denise (My middle name)
Rayne (We both love the name and it flows with it lol)

The best bet is to just scour name books and websites jotting down the ones you like. Get him to look over it and see if there's any he likes and go from there. Agreeing on a name can be REALLY hard, especially since you two will have met so many people in your lives that names take on connotations for each of you. In the end, no baby is ever left without a name, so you'll find one eventually.

My brother in law had a deal with his wife, for the first baby, he picked the first name and she picked the middle. For the second, she picked the first name and he picked the middle.

Personally, I'm all about tribute middle names, which can make that part a little easier. Someone in your life that means a great deal to you and whose name you like.

At first we were going to do the second just naming it after him if it was a boy but he piss me of so I'm going with my first choice of Jeremiah James. Jeremiah cause I have always loved that name & James after my cousin/best friend that passed away in April. The girl names I just like & he has no say.
