Work vent

Okay so I have had a few days to mellow out so now I feel like I can talk about work. So I took Friday off and when my sister came home from work (we work together) she told me I should pop into the office on Saturday. When I asked her why she told me that there where some bonuses given out & I was one who got one. I asked her how much she had gotten & she hesitated telling me which I now understand why. She told me she got $2,000. I was so excited for her & very excited to see what mine was. So on Saturday morning I got up & went to the office to pick up the check that was left on my desk. I quickly opened it and was shocked to see it was only $500! Now don’t get me wrong I am very happy that I was given a bonus…it was money that I was not expecting but COME ON! She got $1,500 more than me WTF! Our workload is equal and she has only been here 6 months longer than me so I am very pissed off! It f’in sucks cause I can’t say a shitten thing! Sorry this was so long I just really needed to get this off of my chest.

I would love to ask why but we are not supposed to talk to each other about any bonuses given out so I am not supposed to know how much she got. I was thinking the same thing, did they give me less because I was on leave for 12 weeks??? I did work from home when I was out though so if you ask me I should have gotten MORE!

Maybe it is based on the company's preformance during specific months, and they did really well those 6 months you were not there. Maybe you could just ask your boss how the bonus' were determined. That will probably give you your answer.

just ask your sister to buy you somethin that is worth whatever amount of money that would make your bonuses equal........ did that make sense?   ha ha
