A teen mom to be a role model? No thanks! lol

Being a mother is hard, period. All I saw in that show was a bunch of whiny, drama filled, teenagers that only care about themselves..just with a little kid in the shot ((sometimes)).

Smurf...if being a teen mom means fake nails, fake hair, new boobs, new car, fancy house, and great schooling, I am sorry to say I wasnt a teen mother!

Not really...they showed a lot of times where the parents struggled.

...this is a public forum. Not everyone is going to agree on how great you think a show is. We have every right to express ours on an open thread, darling. It will happen a lot.

They all seemed horrible and self obsessed except for the couple that gave their child up for adoption. The show barely even focused on the kids development only on the mother's mindless drama.

They did but they also got paid out the ass to be on tv, most teen moms don't get that, they struggle day to day until they can get on their feet. I mean i'm not saying the whole show is fake but they didn't really show what it's like to be a teen mom.

Yeah, I wish they had a "22 years old, married with 2 toddlers" show. I wanna be rich.

Like...

I can't think of one episode I saw where I saw anyone struggling. Those girls always had their hair done, roof over their heads, food on the table, nails done, etc. I saw no struggle.

No offense but this show was for the younger age group. I'm sure no one had it together as well to even carry themselve independently at 16+ yrs old. I'm not trying to be rude, but you obviously are. They had money from the show. That was something they wanted to indulge in for themselves. A lot of people get fake nails and extensions, esp. after Jersey shore but even before that. You also forgot fake eyelashes, but that goes back way into years beyond both our times when woman actually were the ideal housewives and stayed at home. We get your point, you like to laugh and make it seem like its unrealistic and crud. I think your attitude is worse. Seriously have a nice day. I don't know what town you live in but I'm surprised anyone has the nerve to be as rude as you are online. Who in their right minds actually spends time to talk smack on the internet anymore? Are you thirteen? Casue you sure are acting like it. WE UNDERSTAND YOU DON'T LIKE IT. LIKE I HAVE SAID I DO NOT CARE. QUIT RESPONDING AND FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO SINCE WE KNOW YOU DONT GET FAKE NAILS, EXTENSIONS OR PLAN TO GET A BOOB JOB. THIS WASN'T TOWARD YOU OR ABOUT YOU. YOU ARE NO WHERE EVEN A TEEN MOM AND YOUR BEING UNSUPPORTIVE. GOODBYE.

But I do agree that they should of showed them struggling more because there is stupid teens who will believe that the show wasn't edited and that's all the struggles that comes with being a teen mom, or parent for that matter. I really adored Catelynn's story though.

Well what's your definition of struggling.

Maci has struggled with having to send Bentley back and forth from her house to Ryan's. Amber has struggled with her fighting with Gary and not being able to see Leah, getting hooked on drugs, sitting in rehab and now jail. Farrah struggled with Derek passing away, giving birth to Sophia all alone, trying to take on a job and school while dealing with a kid in a different state. Catelynn and Tyler struggled with giving their kid up for adoption and then family issues, passing school even after giving their kid up.

So yeah, they did show where they struggled. Of course we all know that they aren't broke. I mean they were paid to be on TV.

Lmao! Seriously? I am being rude because I don't like a TV show? I didnt know that since I am not under the age of 19, I am not allowed to watch a channel that I pay for. :/ You are taking this show a but too seriously.

I'd rather be poor than have 14 more kids.

Eh, most of that isnt struggling, just drama, that they really focus on.

I havent really watched but two or three reruns of it..so I could really miss the "struggle" parts, but of those I watched, I just saw some whiny brats. lol
